The pandemic may be over, but remote working has become a permanent part of many professionals’ lives. I sat down with a San Francisco Chronicle editor to talk about how prolonged hours of looking at our image in the “Zoom-mirror” has fueled the desire to make cosmetic changes, and how recovering from privacy of one’s home, while still fully engaged in work, is continuing to drive a boom in facial surgery.
For the second consecutive year, I was chosen by Castle Connolly to appear Castle Connolly’s highly selective list of America’s Top Doctors, 2016. The prestigious Castle Connolly program honors the “most outstanding doctors in the United States,” representing only 1% of the thousands of medical specialists and sub-specialists in the country.
Every year, Castle Connolly survey’s thousands of physicians and other healthcare professionals and asks them to identify excellent doctors in every specialty in their region and throughout the nation. Over 230,000 of the nations’ leading medical specialists, department chairs, residency program directors, vice presidents of medical affairs and presidents of the nations’ leading medical centers and specialty hospitals are interviewed about the nominated doctor.
In addition to mail and online surveys, the Castle Connolly physician-led research team makes thousands of phone calls each year, talking with leading specialists, chairs of clinical departments and vise presidents of medical affairs, seeking to identify top specialist for most diseases and procedures. The result of this extensive research is the identification of America’s Top Doctors.
Castle Connolly is world renowned and respected. It is an honor to be named to this prestigious list, and I am committed to upholding the honor for future years to come.
