I am so thrilled to be named Best Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon by SFGate in their 2024 Best of the Bay awards. It was a reader’s choice award, so I thank all who supported me! I am truly grateful.
I’m thrilled to have been included in Sarah Thorton’s new book TIT’S UP as the leading plastic surgeon in her chapter on breast surgery. Sarah’s book is a lively and thought provoking treatise uncovering the social and cultural significance of breasts. I’m really excited that the Wall Street Journal, New Yorker, and Economist have all featured excerpts from the book with my insights and opinions, including the trend toward natural and proportionate breast surgery results. Breasts are finally getting their due!
I was honored to speak at The StrongHer Collective’s Vitality for Women conference, talking about how menopausal changes effect quality of life and what the options and strategies are to manage them and get your life back. I was joined on the panel by other inspiring women; Jessica Herrin, founder of FLI MD, Dr. Mindy Goldman and Dr. Kathleen Jordan, founders of MIDI Health, and Karen Behnke of Juice Beauty, who are all passionate about empowering women to take on “the change”! The pandemic may be over, but remote working has become a permanent part of many professionals’ lives. I sat down with a San Francisco Chronicle editor to talk about how prolonged hours of looking at our image in the “Zoom-mirror” has fueled the desire to make cosmetic changes, and how recovering from privacy of one’s home, while still fully engaged in work, is continuing to drive a boom in facial surgery.
